High School Musical 3 Movie Party!

Allie and I got to go see HSM3 with some friends and their moms! It was a blast, until the moms got a little crazy for Zac Efron. The girls were a little embarrassed, especially my niece Larissa! They just don’t know how cool their moms are!!! But we had so much fun. We are so lucky to have such great friends!

I promise they made me pose for this one!

I promised pics from Devon’s bday. I know it’s just a little late! ;) Devon has always brought so much fun and life to our family! He’s growing up so fast. He’s a very sweet big brother to his 2 sisters and brother. And he has the tenderest heart when someone’s sad or hurt. He’s always been very smart and good in school. He’s recently joined the Squire Choir at school. He’s now a senior brown belt in Tae Kwon Do. We’re just so proud of him! Love you Dev!

Helpful Allie

My little Allie is always the helpful one. And as you could guess a little 7 yr old helper would be she just loves the gloves, cleaning that is. It's always about wearing the bling of cleaning. The other day I even caught her cleaning the cleaning gloves (with hand sanitizer no doubt).

At dinner tonight she was her helpful self and helping little sister Kailey eat her mashed potatoes. Which is her favorite. Allie thought she'd see if Kailey could feed herself. So she put some potatoes on the spoon and handed it to little Sis. Kailey did great and had fun feeding herself. So Allie kept on scooping food onto the spoon for her. Well, of course the spoon and Kailey got pretty gooey. Allie of course had a fix for that and got out the gloves. I love my little helpful Allie!! I can't imagine my family without her in it!
We had a big birthday on Tuesday. My oldest boy, Devon, is 10! I'll be doing a post on that soon!

Summer's Over?

Wow! I can’t believe summer is already gone. It just flew by too fast. We did have tons of fun in the sun though. And I can finally say that Wesley has overcome his complete fear of pools and swimming. He improved so much this year. After his drowning scare last spring I am finally able to breathe again when he’s in the water. Thanks to my dear friend Melissa and her expert swim lessons. You’re awesome!! And Devon has taken up rollerblading, very cool! Allie has expertly turned the entire upstairs into a store, school, bedroom, spa all for her Barbies and dolls. Kailey has finally mastered running. And let me tell you, that’s not a good thing. That busy baby!!

Well Bryan surprised me with tickets to the American Idol Live Concert for our anniversary!! Totally awesome! But our camera was broken just a couple days before and my crazy mom brain forgot about it until we were leaving for the concert. I got a few videos and pictures on my crummy phone, so maybe I’ll have something to post on that soon. But the concert was so cool! David Archuleta was AWESOME!!! And CARLY!!! Everyone was so much better than on the show. I’m sure performing every night will help with that. But poor Ramielle was not good at all. David Cook was great too, but he’s just not my favorite. I’m sure if I had caught one of the 20 guitar picks he threw out to the crowd I would’ve thought he was much more cool! Thanks Bryan, You’re so fun!

School started 2 weeks ago, so yes, I’m a big slacker for not getting to this yet. The AI Concert was the night before school started so I had to have everything ready to go ahead of time. Thank you, Thank you to Lisa who watched the kids that night. But it was all excitement that morning. I love it when I don’t even have to tell the kids what to do in the morning. Maybe they should make it the first day at least once a week. The drop off wasn’t bad at all. I went in to walk the kids to their classes and Devon was just so grown up and didn’t even need me. It was a very good morning!

The pickup line was another story. So the kids are at a new elementary this year. So the picking up plan was just not set up good at all. There’s a new middle school next to the elementary so it was quite the mess. Why can’t they just have buses? Ahhh! You have to live 2 miles from the school to be bused. Why isn’t 1.7 miles far enough. I’m sorry but that .3 of a mile isn’t going to make it close enough for my kids to walk or ride a bike. And so we all should just waste our gas and sit for 30 min. in a car line. Good plan. Anyway, I just thought it’d be funny to look back and see a picture of the car line. That first day I didn’t get my kids until 3:45. Those poor kids were waiting 45 min after school was out. And it wasn’t my fault. I had been waiting 45 min too! O.k. time to get off my soap box. I really am glad they’re at the new school. It’s going to be a great year.

I just love bathtime!

Bathtime is just the best! The scent of clean, fresh kids...mmmm! I got the best smelling babywash stuff for my baby shower with Kailey! Oh, it smells so much better than regular old baby powder scent. I don't think I could ever use anything else on my little ones again! Kailey is so messy now when she eats. I don't know how she gets food in the places that she does. So now I just love her bathtime. I feel like I get my cute baby back!

Tomorrow's a big day here at our house. Allie is turning 7!!! I can't believe how fast the kids are growing up. She's just such a sweet, adorable girl. I love having her in our family. Her smile could brighten any room! I love looking back at old pictures at birthdays.

Allie's Dance Recital

I was gone all last week at Girl's Camp. I had half a day to recoup before Recital Weekend. Then with all the fuss of rehearsal, makeup, hair, different costumes and shoes - man that's a lot for only 3 minutes on stage per song! But Allie looked as cute as can be and danced beautifully! I am a proud Mamma!
Happy Father's Day!
I have a great, wonderful, hard working, funny Dad! He makes life fun and tells the best stories! I feel so blessed to have such a loving Father! And he is just the coolest Papa ever! We miss you and love you Dad!
A also have a wonderful husband who is hardworking, caring, supportive, and an amazing Father to our 4 kids! He amazes me every day. I'm still not sure what I did to be so blessed with a husband like him! Love you Bry!
What would we do without the father's in our lives? I know I wouldn't who I am today without them.

What's The Word?

Well, I set this blog up a week or so ago, but to tell you the truth I didn't really know what I was doing. I hope this becomes a great way to stay close to family and friends. My mom used to have a website that she kept up with and I told her she should try out blogging. She set hers up with pictures and all before I could even figure this out. How sad am I?

Well, summer has begun around my house. Sleepovers, playing in the hose & sprinklers and more sleepovers!!! It's all good! I can't wait to get going on group projects with my kids. They don't know it yet, but they're going to paint 3 bedrooms and sand a table & chairs set. They don't know what fun is yet!!! Ready or not, here I come! No, really it's all fun. They want to do their bedrooms, but in all reality they just aren't skilled enough. But they'll probably help a little here and there.
